How can Chanel justify charging 700 dollars for a pair of sunglasses?

This cool person I know has 700 dollar sunglasses, they are Chanel. But even for a respected high fashion label, isn't it ridiculous to py that much for a pair when you could get ones with the same, or better, quality for way less money?|||Well,mostly celebs wear stuff like that or really rich people and to them it's not a lot.So apparently Chanel can charge about whatever they want no matter how expensive.|||There are many reasons Chanel and other designers charge so much. One is the fact that they appeal to a specific and elite audience and they'd rather people under that class didn't purchase their products. Also, these brands have respected and rich histories as well as amazing craftsmanship.

|||I always go for cheap designer look like sunglasses that are stylish, functional and affordable. Every summer I buy 4-5 sunglasses for just under $100 enjoy them to the fullest and get new styles in market next year. I researched on lots of sites about quality and stuff.. Most sunglasses you purchase for 20$ have same UV protection as designers. Of course you cannot compare the value a logo of designer brand carries and some times material they use like titanium finish. The cost of designers are high as they have to pay million for advertising and signing celebrities which end consumer pays. I also just want enjoy my piece of mind if I lose a 20$ vs $700 sunglasses|||There's no need for justification in here. The reason is because it is Chanel. Chanel is Chanel. You know how expensive it it. Not just their sunglasses, even their bags are expensive too. They are a designer brand. You are paying for their name too.
