How do you tell if a Chanel bag is real or fake?

Today I was in a charity shop and I saw this really nice bag claiming to be Chanel. It had the Chanel logo on the outside and label on the inside. It feels quite good quality and smells like leather but it's a bit battered. It was only 拢3.99 and I loved it so I bought it; I don't mind if it's real or fake. I'm just curious! Are there any ways to tell whether it's real or fake? Thanks|||What I've heard was that the logo on the inside, that leather flap, on a fake Chanel bag will say it's made from France. Most (not all, but most) Chanel bags are made in Paris. Also, look to see if it's cheap stitching. Chanel also uses high quality material. There should be a serial number on a card in the purse. Besides, if you see it selling cheap, it's probably not real. Chanel bags usually run around $1000, give or take.

The logo should look like this: http://www.chanel.com/

sometimes the c's are differently proportional

also the stitching should be straight and not unvraveling

smell it and see if it smells like plastic (fake) or leather (real)hope this helps!|||there's usually a certificate looking thing.|||Well you can usually tell by the stitching, the logo of course, and some other things, like the insides, the price, the basic look of it.

Here's something that might help:
