How can you tell if a Chanel handbag is fake from the outside?

My friend just got a Chanel purse. From the outside of the bag, how can I tell if it's fake? I don't want to ask her if it is real or fake or look in it.|||If it's one of those black/white/pink outsides with that big logo on it.. it's fake.

if that fails, however, you can always look for the "chanel" mark on the bag|||Well you could know its fake by looking inside of it.





if it dosnt say inside chanel made in Italy , then its a total fake. It also depends upon the style of the bag. If its the paten leather classic with the woven in chain then its supose to look a certain way. If its the chanel denim vintage one(so cute) then its supose to say Chanel Made in Italy with the world chanel all over the inside over satin.|||the logo never gets cut off at the seams|||first of all the fake ones are poorly made, and the "leather" feels fake. plus the silver rings that the handles go through don't say "chanel", like this one http://www.flickr.com/photos/10215554@N0鈥?/a>

unless shes rich and has all designer it's probably fake|||usually you can tell it was cheaply made.





CHANEL uses high quality calfskin on their bags NOT LAMBSKIN. they do use many other leathers and fabrics but the cambon line is entirely made of calfskin.





ask her where she got it... if she got it from some random website, it's a fake.
